How the chlorine came into Richmond tapwater

I told Ralf Linhof about my problems with the water in Richmond. I had the theory that the extreme taste of chlorine has something to do with the taste of cleaness, not actually with the dirt in the water; that it is actually cleaned to much and toxicated with chlorine to give the impression of being 100% free of germs and viruses. Ralf had a vision: He saw a big scale testing in the U.S. Hundreds of thousands of people sitting in front of tables. On these tables are ten glasses of water. People have to taste each glass of water and say which they think is the cleanest. And this is how the American Water Administration decided on the percentage of chlorine to be put into the tap water.
