China lost

07/11/2002, zebu kluth, berlin

I just read an article in our german newsweek magazine called DER SPIEGEL that China is closing down most (illegal) connections to the internet.

The chinese government is trying to shut down all the (mostly illegal) internet cafés. Although or because the world was thinking that the internet is a big chance for china to open itself for the world and our economics, the government feels the danger of the internet and the power of change, that is in it.
So for MUTATION we might have a big problem with our naive thoughts about our wonderful one world. Perhaps our discussion will take place without our (to be found) chinese friends here.

The articel @ SPIEGEL ONLINE (in german/sorry)
