17/09/2002 www.deutschland.de
In Germany you don’t hear a lot from the President but today he was in the news in front of a notebook. He opened a new net presentation of Germany - www.deutschland.de - in five languages.
Sorry, I am sure mandarin is not one of the choosen languages. But I can not proof it tonight, despite the tv-news under the newly announced address they said, we still working to finish DEUTSCHLAND.de.
By the way the name of our President is Mr. Johannes Rau. We call him Brother Johannes, because he liked it to argue from the viewpoint of a active protestant Christian. That is not common for German politicians.

15/09/2002 MUTATION NEWSLETTER NO.1/ Pre-launch ...
Dear friends and supporters of the MUTATION PROJECT!
Finally –sorry for the delay- Lubricat is proudly pre-launching the MUTATION WORKSPACE in co-operation with our first sponsor, the media communication agency "TPA - the Tricky People Association" from Berlin.
Being one of the first collaborators of MUTATION, we kindly ask you to please log in and test it!
We hope you will be comfortable using it and will appreciate any comments or critics by our first users!
Within the next months you are all invited to promote the MUTATION project in your respective cities on an informal level in order to recruit dedicated people as active co-workers on the workspace and there with start the global dialogue.
Hopefully - and depending on your level of activity - we will be able to start a first media release on the project by the end of November 2002.
We want to acknowledge our deep gratitude to Mrs. Adrienne Goehler, Head of the Capital Culture Fond (Hauptstadtkulturfonds) and the committee for the substantial grant with which they will support MUTATION.
A grateful "welcome!" as well to the Goethe Institute / Inter Nations in Lagos and Shanghai, who already became project partners. Thank you.
The time for paperwork on our concept is over. Looking forward, we should go for the next goal which is a lively running WORKSPACE. Worldwide collection of exciting content and discussion on the matters will be the best promotion for the project.
Although having successfully raised funds, involved a co-producer and currently preparing a kick-off media-release by the end of November, we have to move forward fast ... even if the "real life" productions of MUTATION might seem to be far away to some of you (end of 2003 through 2004).
With the German federal grant we will receive from the Capital Culture Fond Berlin a basic financing is secured- but it will not cover all costs of the project as far as the actual productions are concerned.
No worries, we started very well, we are working on it daily with increased speed and dedication, but we will need all your help and contacts for local support, personnel and logistics.
ACCESS TO WORKSPACE:
We provide 3 different levels of access to the WORKSPACE:
1. ALL USERS - free access: Can add comments only.
2. GUEST - Password required: Can add article to platform 1/CITY and to platform 3/DIARY.
3. ASSOCIATE - Password required: Can add article to all 3 platforms: CITY, PEOPLE, DIARY.
For all information about the access please go to www.lubricat.de and click the link to the WORKSPACE or go directly to www.lubricat.de/mutation - click enter WORKSPACE and click to window about mutation. Here you will find a handy short-cut description of our project.
For your password, please send a mail to webmaster@lubricat.de with your name and city.
Any question, suggestion or critic about the WORKSPACE?
Please, drop us a note (specifying your system details) at mutation@lubricat.de.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT:
Operative from October 1st., we are very happy to introduce our project management:
PIERRE BAZIN
will run our project office at the Sophiensæle, Berlin. Contact: bazin@lubricat.de
RALPH LINHOF
an experienced marketing professional situated in Hamburg, is our newly appointed producer.
Contact: linhof@lubricat.de
They both will soon get in touch with all the partners in order to fix and thighten the loose network we already knitted throughout the last months.

11/09/2002 September and me
I'm just doing, what I was doing last year. Cleaning my flat and watching TV at the same time. Now its early morning in NY and CNN is starting the emotional package of rememberance on September 11. Last year I was cleaning my bathroom, when there was the news, a plane crashed into the World Trade Center. And since I am a curious guy I switched to CNN and the next days I spent in front of the TV and my Computer, watching and surfing the Internet and copying all kind of texts from newsgroups, special WTC sites... I have some hundered pages now - without really knowing what to do with it...
I think 911 also influenced and inspired Dirk and me strongly to develop mutation...
Today I stay at home to clean my flat again (be sure, I also did this some time between last year and today) and watch CNN with its national (worldwide) rememberance show.
And since I'm also cleaning my computer from the inside today - I found this picture of me. :-) by zebu kluth,
