23/10/2002 Dancers
The next two weekends in Richmond will provide our burgeoning group with an opportunity to see dancers we are considering inviting into the project. This weekend Lea Marshall performs in a piece performed by her dance company, Ground Zero. Next weekend, Starr Foster, will present her piece "Alice" for the second time to a Richmond Audience. by isaac regelson,

21/10/2002 Informal meeting
Harry and I ran into each other at the 17.5 cafe. I'll organize a formal meeting this week.
Harry has an actor/director person he will introduce to the project, with the possibility that he might be asked to be involved.
Harry is going to supply me with budgets from plays at the Firehouse Theater. I'm going to use them as a basis for creating a budget. The budget will be used to begin to ask for grant money. by isaac regelson,

07/10/2002 Meeting
Harry and I got together at the Village Cafe at 10pm - this was arranged per Jim's request so he could get there after work. He didn't show so right now we are assuming the DC area sniper picked him off at a local Wal-Mart. I hope they find the body soon so we can still identify it before the maggots remove Jim's beautiful eyes.
The meeting was to discuss some of the names of local performers we were identifying at our last meeting: Linda Vorland;Urban Lightworks performance creater, Jerene Fleming; singer/performer and Lea Marshall; dancer. We reported that all three parties have expressed an interest in being involved, although my discussions with Jarene were not extensive. It is our hope that the group we put together is representative of the diversity of talent and people in Richmond, which is always a complex task. Local performers might start incorporating aspects of Mutation in their ongoing performances before next Fall.
Harry had two local beers (local breweries are all the rage in the US)and I had a locally made Root Beer (sasparilla).
We also talked about the history of the Village Cafe, which Harry documented in a book that was published several years ago. The Village is Richmond's most eclectic hang-out for artists, musicians and local characters. Its not a great place for a meeting as the music (recorded only) can get loud, but last night we could communicate.
